What's a lead vs a delivery?

A lead is when someone fills out your form and submits it to us.

A delivery is when we send that lead to ONE of your tools (Slack, your CRM, an SMS, etc.).

If one lead goes to 3 tools, that's 1 lead + 3 deliveries. We cap both so heavy-fanout setups stay predictable for you and for us.

Same workflow, dramatically different cost.

Anchored on our $99 Pro tier (250k leads / 1M deliveries / 50 routes / 5 clients).

Tool Headline price How it actually scales
LeadRails Pro $99 / mo 250k leads + 1M deliveries. Fan-out is the point — 10k leads hitting 3 destinations is 30k deliveries, still well inside the cap.
Hookdeck $99 / 100k events Same price, 2.5× fewer items, and not built for lead routing — no CRM field-mapping, no per-destination retry logic out of the box.
Zapier $49.99 / 2k tasks Tasks multiply with destinations. 10k leads to 3 destinations = 30k+ tasks ≈ $200-300+/mo vs. our $99.
Make €29 / 50k operations Same operation-multiplication problem as Zapier. Cheaper per operation, still a per-step counter.
LeadConduit Enterprise (opaque) Sales-led pricing, typically $1k+/mo on contract. We're roughly 10× cheaper with self-serve onboarding.
10,000 leads/mo × 3 destinations each LeadRails Pro: $99/mo · Zapier: $200-300+/mo · Make: €29-58/mo · Hookdeck: $99/mo

What you DON'T pay extra for.

Everything below is included on every paid plan (and most of it on Free).

  • Tamper-proof lead delivery
  • Every destination (no upcharges for Slack vs Twilio vs HubSpot)
  • Custom field routing — pick which fields go where
  • Auto-retries + delivery alerts
  • White-label admin (Pro and up)
  • Full lead history (every tier; how long depends on plan)
  • Multi-tenant scoping (agencies)
  • Public status page
  • 5 separate uptime checks (one per worker)

What's NOT included.

Knowing the edges of the tool up front beats finding them mid-setup. LeadRails is the rails — not the CRM, not the sender, not the campaign platform.

  • We don't host your email — you bring Postmark or Resend.

Why: So you own your sending reputation. One bad customer shouldn't tank everyone else's deliverability.

  • We don't host your SMS — you bring Twilio.

Why: Same reason, plus 10DLC compliance is yours to manage in Twilio's console.

  • We're not a CRM.

Why: You've already picked one. We just feed it.

  • We're not a marketing platform.

Why: No drip campaigns or email blasts here.

  • No phone support below Agency tier.

Why: Keeps Starter pricing honest at $25.

If you need help with this: setting up Postmark or Twilio is straightforward — our docs walk you through it, and free-tier customers can email us if they get stuck.

Frequently asked.

What counts as a lead?

A lead is one form submission we receive and accept. Bad signatures, replays, and malformed payloads don't count. Duplicates of the same submission don't count either — we deliver each lead exactly once.

What if I'm just a small business with one form?

You're our favourite customer. Free covers up to 1,000 leads/month, which is plenty for a single WordPress form. Most plumbers, lawyers, and contractors never leave the free tier.

What if I go over my plan?

First 24 hours: we email warnings at 80%, 90%, and 100% of either cap. After that: overage at $0.50 per 1,000 extra leads OR $0.20 per 1,000 extra deliveries, whichever cap you hit first. You can also flip on auto-upgrade so the next tier kicks in instead.

How does white-label work?

On Pro and up, the admin UI shows your logo, name, and brand colour — not ours. Your clients log into what looks like your product. On Agency, you can point your own domain at it (e.g. routing.youragency.com).

Can I downgrade?

Yes, anytime. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle, so you keep the higher caps until the period you already paid for ends.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Read-only access for 30 days after cancellation, then we delete per the Privacy Policy. You can export everything before that.

Is there a free version?

Yes — Free is genuinely free. No card, no expiry, every destination included. Upgrade only when you outgrow the caps.

Do you offer non-profit or student discounts?

Yes — email sales@leadrails.dev with your details and we'll set it up.
